Tina Schlieske is a Midwestern rock mainstay, best known for fronting Tina and the B-Sides. Inspired by Minneapolis’ diverse music scene, she blends rock, soul, and Americana into electrifying performances. After releasing albums independently, a chance meeting with Sire Records led to two major-label releases, Salvation (1996) and It’s All Just the Same (1998), with music featured in major films.
Beyond the B-Sides, Schlieske toured as lead singer for Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble and released acclaimed solo albums. She has shared stages with Lenny Kravitz, Etta James, and The Wallflowers, and collaborated with legends like Benmont Tench, Stewart Copeland, and James Burton.
A dynamic performer, she recently delivered a showstopping rendition of It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World at The New Standards Holiday Show, earning rave reviews. Currently, she performs solo, fronts her feminist-punk band Genital Panic, and croons jazz standards, all while occasionally reuniting with the B-Sides. A Minnesota music icon, she holds a star at First Avenue and was named one of the Top 20 Pioneering Women in Minnesota Music.
